Lol sure like Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff wouldn't match that pathetic offer sheet on Jacob Trouba. Better give Trouba $7 million to $8 million if you want him to take the picks.

I like the creativity, but I don't think all these moves actually make the Avs much better. Trouba is great, but with Barrie in the fold, I think unnecessary, especially considering the moves force us to ice Rocco Grimaldi. And put 2 rookies in top9 RW slots. And rely on an aging Iginla on the first line.

I agree with RWF56. Not real sure what the hold up is in Trouba's re-signing. They certainly would have cap space to accomadate a reasonable deal. The other issue is that this lineup has 22 players yet a deficit of almost $1.7M.
