Can you do me a favour and google Mitch Marner awards won in last year of junior hockey with the London Knights and name me one player in the NHL who has also won that many awards in one year of junior hockey. I will give you a hint there is none including Connor McDavid.

Forgot junior is the same as the nhl..? Do u know how many ppl that have dominated junior but end up being a bust in the nhl..? What does his junior awards have to do with anything?

Alot of the very best players in the NHL were dominate players first in the OHL before they made the NHL so I do think it is a good indicator of future success in the NHL. Marner put up a monster season with the London Knights in his last season in the OHL and won virtually every award possible including the Memorial Cup so yes I think it was a good indicator that he is a franchise player. The Coyotes who picked Strome ahead of him made a huge mistake.
