I don't see Faulk accepting to lift his NTC to leave as he especially asked for the NTC to start the day of his signature (On his previous deal) to not get shipped somewhere else like Subban before the NTC/new deal kicks in. From his point of view making 6.5M$ for seven years and far from any kind of pressure to perform on a third pairing ... Why would I go anywhere?

I believe as was the case with Vegas expansion draft, NTC cannot prevent being selected in the expansion draft. Only NMC can prevent a move.

Yup. Only a full NMC makes one exempt from being selected.
