That Matthews trade is a joke, Nowhere even close to getting Matthews out of Toronto. Andersson is trash Trouba does't want to play in Canada i guess people keep forgetting that part. Yeah it's just meh.

Obviously a trade like this isnt happening but in terms of value hard to say this is a "joke" ... also Lias Anderson is hardly the centerpiece of a deal like this (See Zibanejad, Deangelo and FOUR high draft picks)
but hes a young prospect thats basically a lottery pick if he rediscovers himself as a throw-in here

getting mathews for ziba is a horrible deal straight up. Mathews is good maybe a bit better than ziba potential wise, but ziba is better right now and only 26 so giving up that many assets for mathews is horrendous not to mention his contract compared to ziba no, right now ziba is better and on a better contract but once again mathews is 23 so he has time to grow. Also that is a lot for buffalos pick. Top 6 winger, starting goalie and a pick from 18-25 no thanks. We areant giving up enough for monahan
