I don't think the Devils go with Perfetti over holtz. They really need a goal scoring winger for the future, and holtz is perfect for that. Second, I think minnesota goes for a center to play with Kaprizov, and if not then they will probably go with Askarov if he's available. I also think the preds go with a forward instead of askarov, they seem to be confident that Saros will be their goalie for the future.

No of course it isn't, In this scenario Lafreniere to Ottawa is a very real possibility.

If Detroit does happen to land number 2, would they take Byfield or Stutzle? I'm hearing Stutzle but what about Byfield's ceiling

Yzerman is heavily scouting Stutzle, So he'd probably take him. But my gut says take Byfield that kids going to be a stud. I think Byfield has so much untapped potential here.

Not saying Red Wings aren't best with Lafreniere, but can you imagine how amazing a Larkin-Byfield 1-2 line can look like. Yzerman has the ability to build a contender. Redwings have Larkin, Veleno, Rasmussen and Fabbri down the middle. Bertuzzi, Lafreniere?! on the Left and Zadina, Mantha on the right. Hronek and Seider dominate the right defence while the left defence has Jared McIsaac. Not bad for a team that didn't miss the playoffs for more than a quarter of a century.
