Offseason Priorities:
2C on a short-term contract: Someone who can groom Cozens into 2C playing on the same line and take some pressure off Mitts in a 3C role. These are all much needed veteran presences and still have very good analytics
1. Stastny

4. Bonino

2nd pair LD: If not, just role with McCabe, but these are both upgrades while giving Samuelsson and Johnson some time to develop
Brodie: UFA- would have to overpay to get, but would be worth it
Gardiner: I think Carolina would be open to trading him for a pick with their stacked D-core

3. Backup goalie: only possible if we have the cap... which we don't

Please leave a comment on these lines and D pairings, cuz I really think they perfect. Stastny helps Skinner get going while mentoring Cozens from the wing, who gets some good exposure playing with vets. Mitts has talent around him for the first time in his career and isn't in a pressured position to carry a line. Dahlin and Miller is a solid top pairing, Brodie comes in and gives some stability to the second pair while helping groom Joki into the top 4 defenseman we know he can be. Pilut acts as shutdown defenseman alongside Risto, who has minutes reduced but also plays PP2. Hutton is a problem but I don't see us being able to fix that with GM Botts being stupid with the capspace
