i think MTL would make this trade but it most likely would bite them back since meier's qualifying offer is gona be 10mil when the cap is expected to go down next year

We're having this conversation on a NYR post right now, lol. I think Labanc can play LW too though.

yea but you have panarin and kreider who are better than him. Its just not really worth it unless rangers are trying to win now.

I dont think middelstadt would be a part of this package. Losing this years draft pick and him would leave a barren prospect cupboard even more depleted. I think it would either be middelstadt and next year 1st or this year 1st and a prospect like Thompson, oglieve, asplund for offense or Samuelson, bryson, johnson on D

Labanc is a middle 6 winger. He's best played on the 3rd line.

I came up with this trade because I thought Hertl for Buffalo's 2020 1st was pretty close to fair, but I thought if anyone needed to add it was Buffalo. Buffalo's 2020 1st and Mittelstadt for Hertl isn't good for Buffalo, so I added Colorado's 2020 2nd, making it fair imo. We would probably do it for your 2020 1st and one of your prospects, though.

I just had a Buffalo fan say they wouldn't do this. Sharks and Sabres fans are in general agreement that Hertl for Buffalo's 2020 1st is fair, so I would view this trade as fair too.

I agree but at the same time he is only 24 just starting to come into his prime and you have him under team
Control for 2 more years

He's a solid middle 6 winger, wouldn't call him ''incredible'' and I don't think he is fit for the top line so he's a middle 6 forward.

Yeah I forgot about the 2nd definitely evens it out more I still think with mittelstadt he has a high ceiling that the sabres would want to hold on to. So I would imagine they would push for someone else and scrap the 2nd coming back

He can play 2nd line, just probably not with the Rangers unless an injury occurs in the top 6. Your also getting a 2nd and a forward with top 9 potential for a late 1st and another player with top 9 potential. Yes Andersson is probably more valuable than Chekovich, but Andersson reportedly doesn't want to play with the Rangers, taking some value away.

Middle 6 winger! He’s a 3rd liner on a deep team top 6 on a shallow team 24 under team control has yet to hit his peak.
We got a first for a bottom 6 player why wouldn’t we get one for a guy like this
