and he lost in the first round and then got beat up by the sens in the 2nd round badly.
That is not deep playoff success like you are claiming he can do.

Grubauer went to game 7 last year against the sharks in the 2nd round and if it wasn't for a ticky tacky offside goal called back, Avs could have been going on to round 3.

Hank isnt what he used to be, time to realize that

CLEARLY I AGREE WITH YOU THAT HE IS NOT THE SAME HE WAS. He is however a SOLID goalie, not the best, but solid

They might not be flashy, but as their save % shows they are getting the job done. Avs have no need to change anything in net. They also have Werner and Annunen on the way. The goalie situation in Colorado looks solid.

i know that annuen is a good prospect, dont know much about werner

it is because rangerss have been rebuilding since 2017, no playoffs since then meaning no playoff performances.

Were the rangers rebuilding when Hank was in the playoffs and put up a .867 performance?

Hes just not the same goalie anymore, hes declining...live with it
No one wants to go into the playoffs with a 39 year old declining starting goaltender

2017 was a year where we lost our d core, we lost some solid forwards and was the beginning of rangers decline. Again saying this, i agree that hank isnt the goalie he was. stated this already for 2 posts

So are the Avs goalies, so in no way do they need to trade a 1st for Hank who isnt even an. upgrade
You want him to be in your mind bc you love him as youre a rangers fan. Hes not an upgrade over the Avs tandem, especially at the cost of a 1st with his Age.

Even 50% retained hes older, costs more than Grubi, you have to give up a 1st plus he takes up a roster spot....there is 0 incentive bc hes not an upgrade

hes an incentive since he has playoff experience. Thats it. I could see carolina doing this trade since they want a deep playoff run and mrazek isnt much of a starter

Grubauer has playoff experience of winning a Cup, He has seen first hand what it takes to win a cup. If you want to add hypothetical value to playoff experience, Ill take the goalie even as a back up who witnessed what it takes to win a cup, at least he knows

and if they really over valued that, then there is Matt Murray who has more playoff success and experience than Hank. there is legit no way Avs would even look into Hank

Annunen has starter potential. Werner probably more a backup.

Annunen should be ready by 2022 when Francouz's deal is up. He could get brought over to NA next season and get a couple of seasons in the AHL first.

3-4 years ago I would have jumped at that opportunity. But not now, Henrik isn't an upgrade on what we have.
