Don't know much about the ducks as I live on the east so I don't watch much of their games. I have very little knowledge of them but I am trying to learn them a bit. Some feedback would be nice

Thank you for taking some interest in our team. Most people, especially on the East Coast, aren't interested in Western Conference also-rans.

    1. Cernak would be a great addition for the Ducks. Good vision to think of it.

    2. I gather you're assuming all teams get a "compliance buy-out" and Columbus uses it on Wennberg. Wennberg as a third center until Steel matures isn't a terrible idea, but I don't think it's necessary; I believe you've considered it because you're not familiar with where the players go. Steel is pretty surely our #3 C and Backes our #4 C (no need to buy him out because he only costs us $2.5 million in cash).

    3. Jones is a LW and the team should line up like this, barring further trades:

    Rakell-Henrique-Silfverberg
    Milano-Getzlaf-Heinen
    Comtois/Jones-Steel-(Terry)/Wennberg
    Des Lauriers-Backes-Rowney

    4. Assuming Cernak costs us Groulx and Terry (I'd rather it were one of our excess lefties, either forward or defense), then

    Lindholm-Manson
    Fowler-Cernak
    Djoos-Gudbranson

Gudbranson is an eminently satisfactory depth defenseman. He's played very well for us since coming over. Larsson and Mahura are the extras on the left side, Hakanpaa on the right.

    5. Anthony Stolarz is our backup. He's played well in San Diego and he'll take Miller's place if Ryan finally decides to retire.

    6. Des Lauriers is worth much more to us than a fifth-round pick.

Thanks again for taking a look!

Thank you for your feedback. I will keep that in mind. I am glad that you were aware that I don't know a lot about the ducks

And let me add some guys to keep an eye out for as they come up to the NHL in 2021-2022:

C Trevor Zegras (taken 9th overall in 2019)
LW Brayden Tracey (taken 29th overall in 2019)
RW college standout undrafted free agent Bryce Kindopp
    LW Harvard boy Jack Badini

I have high hopes for them all, and we may see Zegras sooner
