Yeah major pipedream that's not happening, Heavy odds still favor Ottawa for the number 1 pick Pittsburgh's odds would be like 5% compared to Ottawa's 25% i like their odds better.

Thornton has no business on the 3rd line of any competing team. He's 40 and a statue.

      This is not true.
OTT chance is I think 18.5% or something.
The odds of a play in loser winning is collectively 24.5%
There is a higher chance that pick goes to a play in loser than OTT.
Once it goes to a play in loser, the odds are all the same 12.5%.
This is why their system is backwards. If they got their slot prior to the 1st drawing you'd be right. But since their picks are basically collective at this point, their odds are much higher than you are assuming.
Because it doesn't matter if A or B or C or D or whatever wins the lotto. It's all the same. Because each team has a 12.5% chance after the lotto to win it.

Why would you Sign thornton in his age 41 season? You could of had him at the trade deadline for at 4th or 3rd instead you choose Marleau for a 3rd that can be a 2nd!
Truth is Marleau is a better player than Thornton he still has speed and ability to play in a 3rd line supporting roll and be a quality mentor to younger guys (which is everyone except Thornton and Chara lol)

No Detroit's odds are 18.5% Ottawa with their 13.5% and the Sharks 11.5% has a 25% chance of the 1st overall so i'm still correct.

this is what capfriendly has stated on the odds.
Now you add together 8-15 and realize it might as well be 1 slot. That teams draw on later.

no where does it say 25%.......for anyone. Not on a single pick at least. you have to combine them. and even then you are practically even.
