First off flat cap at best, Secondly kiss Ovi goodbye if the Caps trade for Eichel wont be able to afford both if we've a flat cap for the next 2-3 years or so.

Cap will continue to go up in the next few years tho the league will do everything they can to play 82 games next year... I assume that they'll remove the off week and the ASG

Oshie will be gone in expansion, orlov traded as we have a bulk of lefties ready to take the step. Ovi wont demand more than 11-12 imo with his age being what it is. That’s almost 11 million cleared and a raise of roughly 2-3 million. That still leaves 8 to work with even under a flat cap

Ovi will be the kind of guy to take a hometown discount IMO... like 4 years, 9 mil per

I thought so too but idk. I’d be thrilled if he took 10-10.5 over 5 years

Instead of saying something with zero meaning, give an explanation or a different deal

“Oshie will be gone in expansion”. That’s very wishful thinking. Often injured 35 year old overpaid to the teeth. Yeah I don’t see him getting picked up by any team in the near or distant future.

Washington is another one of those teams that just don't have the assets for an eichel trade. Their good players are too old and their prospects aren't good enough because the team has been good for so long. This deal isn't even close to eichel value.

Just awful. One good piece for Eichel and somehow Buffalo adds... Someone can't see past their own bias. Buffalo gets 20 better offers than this one.
