Hughes and 1st is the foundation of a good offer, but if you think Hughes is a ppg/1C then why do it?

Hughes didnt exactly show that in his rookie year. Didnt look ready enough to be in the NHL this year and will probably be a few years down the road to being close to a ppg player if he gets there at all. Talent is there but his mind is 2 years ahead of his body

Sharks traded a 3rd along with Goodrow to get a 1st

So given that, i would do Labanc and a 5th (or lower) for ARI's 1st

Yeah I agree but remember he was the 1st ever #1 overall from the USHL and first guy ever to make the jump from that league to the NHL.

I don’t think you can use that as a template. Tampa was willing to overpay to get a guy they knew was cheap and could play in the bottom 6 because they have cap issues.

What if you take out Okposo on the BUF side, and Subban and Boqvist on the NJ side. Ends up being:

Eichel for 1st Rounder (#3-7 OA), Jack Hughes, and Pavel Zacha.

I think that is at least very close but I think they should accept that

If I’m BUF I seriously consider it.
