If you liked Montour for Gostisbehere (it does make sense to me as well) as Buffalo gets to upgrade their LHD.
JVR for Hutton on the surface appears to be a steal, getting a 20 g/yr LW for a not needed GK.
I just do not know if Buffalo could afford JVR.
If both Gostisbehere and JVR could discover their 2017-'18 mojo, and the Sabres could find another GK, next year could be very interesting.

Actually, with a better GK, this looks like a pretty solid team if Kahun could add 20 goals.
That would be a really bold trade to make.
