Janmark played top 6 with Spezza last year as a rookie on a team with the most goals in the nhl and they don't have to protect him in the expansion draft. I doubt they'd give him away for a defense who isn't a top 3 D when they already have about 10 D competing for 7 spots.

It wouldn't be smart for the Hawks to give a division rival a defenseman. The Stars are the best scoring team in the league and the only reason they can't win it big is because of their lack of defense and goaltending.
