I would really like to grab Tanev as he could really solidify our blue line and their unprotected first round pick would be an absolute steal, but I don't think they do this, if you could make a different package that doesn't include Carrick that would be ideal from a Leafs perspective

If anyone is better than the other it would be Tanev > JVR. The first is going the wrong way. At that point why would we move a potential lottery pick.

fair point. Would you do the trade without the picks. Or is Tanev that much better then JVR. I included Carrick as I think highly of him and in reality think he may play well for the leafs in a top 4 role. Also Kapanen is a great prospect. He just happens to play RW and that's not a position leafs need him to play with our depth. And If you think Van will be a lottery team they should just dismantle it now lol. They are in a real tough spot with the sedins. Thanks for the comment.
