Easy no from Leafs.

The addition of Severson would be nice but that is far too much to give up for a player that really wouldn't move the needle that much but drastically changes the top nine forwards and exposes an additional defensman to the expansion draft.

It is interesting but it does more harm than good from a Toronto perspective IMO.

Leafs say no easily That’s more than they’d be willing to give up

what do you want added in? Top F prospect like Kuk or Boqvist?

Nothing. It is more about what the Leafs are giving up than it is about what they are receiving. I don't see the Leafs and Devils as good trading partners for a deal like this.

Removing three key pieces of the Leafs "plan" moving forward and replacing it with one player and a couple of maybe prospects doesn't fly with the process that the Leafs have put in motion.

Don't get me wrong... I like Severson. I just think that what they would be giving up far outweighs what they would be receiving.

Can I interest you in a slightly used Subban?

LOL. No thanks.

I don't even like the idea of adding Subban at half of his salary. He is a shell of the player that he once was and on the decline.

Thanks anyways.
