Josh Anderson

Description
Eric Engels suggested a Domi for Anderson swap and while I think that's a ridiculous deal (since Domi is so much better), I do think adding Anderson to the Habs would be a solid move. Instead I decided on Anderson for a 2nd rounder, which seems much more realistic to me.

Contract signings are based on Evolving Wild's contract projections.

It’s not an overvalue. First off, everyone seems to forget how effective he was in that Tampa series. He was physically dominant. He held most of Tampa’s best scorers at bay because he harrassed them so much. Secondly, the dude can score goals. Like I said, he was injured this year and was playing that way since the beginning of the season. Third, he can flat out skate for a big guy. Anderson can fly when he revs up. There is a reason he was so dangerous in OTs. The point is this guy is very capable of being a 60 point player. He is a better version of Tom Wilson, just not a douche bag like Tom is. Those guys don’t grow on trees. And you can count on one hand the players who have his speed, skating, goal scoring and physically dominant play. You can’t look at just this season and say he is worthless now.

I never said he was. If you fully read and understand what I said, you’d understand.

1st I said it was a bare minimum, 2nd is that it has to come from an offersheet. That mean a team would have to give Anderson a fair contract at 3+ for 1 year most likely, that compensation is a 2nd round pick, but if they really wanted Anderson they’d have to go to at least a 1st+ for Columbus to not match it (depending on PLD and Gavrikov contracts as both of them are far more important to Columbus then a 3rd line RW is)

Then that’s not bare minimum. But I am not going to go into semantics. Rumor has it there is a lot of chatter around the league about Anderson’s availability. He will get more of a return than what is being offered on these boards.

The reason it’s bare minimum is that Anderson might tell jarmo that he will refuse to play in Columbus and if he signs with a KHL team we get nothing for him and a fair contract is worth a 2nd in an offersheet. So is that the absolut minimum, yes. Would we like to get more for him, absolutely. Do we even want to trade him, right now not a chance.

"Bare minimum" can also be read as "worst-case scenario" in this context.
