Drafted in 1988 (in the 4th round, just saying), Rob Blake has had an amazing NHL career.
He established himself as an NHL regular in the 1990-91 season, putting up 46 pts.
Apart from a few injury riddled seasons, he had an amazing 1st tenure with the Kings, before being traded to the Avalanche along with Steven Reinprecht in exchange for Adam Deadmarsh, Aaron Miller, Jared Aulin and a 1st rounder that became Dave Steckel.
He had a very nice run with the Avs, including a 2001 SC win... aka «after 22 years, RAYMOND BOURQUE».
He came back to the Kings as a free agent for 2 seasons before finishing his career with the SJ Sharks. He retired in 2010.
Before ending this post, I wanted to say that he inspired a bum known as Shea Weber, you might have heard of him, one of the best shutdown d-man of all time.
