Bones, not sure how much you follow the Blackhawks, but would you trade Matthias straightup for Kruger right now? I would because Kruger simply is overpaid for what he offers. IMO, Tanner Kero showed he could kill penalties for Quenneville as an unheralded rookie as well as provide a nice spark as a 4LC. At about 1/5 the cost of the Swede. Matthias could be a solid 3-4LW if that were the case.

Sorry for the hijack to the rest of yous guys.

hey man I'm the guy who posted this one and I think straight across might be a little high on the windy city's side that's a bad contract on a guy who is on a winning team and is underperforming in my option not to say he isn't a solid bottom six guy but he is getting paid like a guy who is playing second line

I'd prefer Nuge for Myers straight up. Which follows more the lines of Hall for Larsson. I feel like WPG is sneakily trying to get rid of a 4th liner in Matthias in this trade. Both Nurse and Nuge are young enough to be able to become really good players within the next 2 years under the right development. Myers has pretty much reached his potential and Mathias as well.

I mean if Edmonton is really that desperate to try and turn this around quickly then i guess go for it but just seems like a bad move.

Matthias scores at a crazy rate for his time on the ice and is a really good PKer. Very useful 4th line player and an ok contract. Kruger is hard to read because hawks put him in a bad spot. He gets buried at even strength and is used heavily on the PK. I do think he is over paid on to long a contract.

The fit with Myers and the oilers is that for all myers flaws he scores really well and the oilers defense does not right now. He is on a friendly contract and he won't be crazy expensive plus he is only 2 years older than Larsson so you have years with them on the rightside.

But if you flop Lowry for Matthias and Nurse for G. Reinhart that works for me to.
