Even though NJ has not that much depth on D, it's not a reason to overpay. Get the right player at the right price.

not one that already has an identical player in Hischier, and whose top 6 is small enough as is. Rossi is super overrated as well, please do your research. Devils should be taking one of the high end wingers available, no question.

Funny enough this video doesn't mention that he scored 75% of his points against bottom feeders or his massive discrepancy in point scoring rates against top and bottom teams (2.96 rate against the bottom, 1.27 against the top) Perfetti was far more impressive in this regard (2.04 against bottom, 1.71 against top) and his goal scoring rate actually went up from 0.5 to 0.69 against better competition. Perfetti also outproduced him at even strength as well, all this despite being much younger and not playing on a powerhouse team. Rossi missed the 2019 draft by 8 days, plenty of OHL players light it up pretty good in their D+1 season... He wasn't even the 3rd most impressive OHL draft eligible this year when you look beneath the surface.

But please tell me again why the Devils should pass on a number of dynamic wingers that they desperately need for another undersized playmaking center when they already have Hughes and Hischier down the middle.
