Seriously though that needs the Sens to be hot to trot for Lafreniere. He’s very good but not that good imo. Still is fun to think on winning 1oa if the play ins went side ways.

If you add those two bad contract, probably swap the 1st of NYI with a 2nd rd pick. You are getting the 3rd overall, probably Stutzle and I will not be surprise if he became a better player than Lafreniere.

It would be close but if you swapped 3OA with 5OA would definetly happen. Ottawa could add a second round pick if needed

It just doesn't makes sense for Ottawa. They need one of those two centres if they're going to compete long term. If Ottawa could do it where they move the 5th overall pick and the New York plus a package of picks and prospects to move up to 1st while keeping the 3rd overall I would look at it, but beyond that I'm not interested.
