Stetcher is not worth that contract. I've already accepted the fact that management will likely not qualify him and let him walk. He might re-sign as a UFA because he wants to stay in Vancouver, but I think that's the best we can hope for.

I like that Virtanen deal and think 4 years in between 3M-3.5M per is perfect.

Gaudette's deal is about 1M-1.5M off.

I have a tough time seeing Markstrom accepting that deal. Who knows how FA will go this offseason given the situation, but that's likely not it.

Nobody is giving up a pick, especially a 3rd for Baertschi. Nobody wanted him for free this season. I think Ottawa could take him, but not without getting a pick for it.

I think Ottawa is a perfect landing spot for a lot of the salary that Van needs to shed. Baertschi, Sutter (to help out this year) and Eriksson (1mill in real salary for this year and helps VAN for next year) for Podkolzin and a mid rounder to not take anything off a roster that is trying to "go for it". OTT could then move Baertschi and Sutter at the TDL and maybe buyout Ericksson next year

Marstrom is worth 5M at least, and will probably sign for 5.5 to 6. Baer is not really going to fetch anything for us, and the Nucks would probably have to add a 3rd round pick. Stetcher is really not worth 4M. rather give that money to Tanev. Gauds should get at least 2M. No need to bring back Fatenberg if you're going to keep Benn, we have Rafferty and possibly Juolevi ready.

Even if Podkolzin is part of the deal, no way Ottawa is taking all three players without a 1st plus. That's 16% of the cap next year, and Eriksson has another year beyond that.
