You won't get all that for Krejci. I don't see CBJ as a good fit. You obviously filled a need with Savard, but didn't CBJ just move their #1C for a defenseman? I don't see them wanting to take away from their D-core that they've been building to add another #1C. I'm sure they would have rather kept Johansen. I see CBJ trading picks/prospects and such for a #1C, if they want to acquire one to begin with.

I Think CBJ traded Johansen because he wanted out. Jones was the best 1 for 1 talent offered. I didn't interpret CBJ as being more geared towards defense at all. One thing I will add to what you posted that supports what you are saying is they drafted Dubois. A lot of prospect rating sites say Dubois could be a great 200 foot C. If they just passed up on 2 guys who were considered better by the majority of people because they don't project as C's (Puljujarvi and Thachuk) to take a guy to be a #1C then I doubt they are in the market for a 30+ year old #1C. Had they selected a Dman or winger this trade would look more fitting for their needs.
