Jets/Ducks/Flyers

Created by: Boojets
Team: 2016-17 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 28, 2016
Published: Aug. 28, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
First off this will not happen. GM's don't make trades like this. This was for fun and trying to help the jets with their needs but trying to keep the trades fair.

Trade 1: Jets get the LHD they need and a good young top 9 forward that can play center or wing. Ducks get a top 6 (borderline top 3 forward) on a very good contract. A highly skilled future top 6 forward who most likely is NHL ready on an ELC and a bottom 6 forward on a ELC who has some upside. They also get a 1st rounder.

Trade 2: Simple Nucks get a 20 goal scorer and jets move a contract.

Trade 3: Jets get 2 middle 6 forwards and a good depth dmen. Flyers get a RHD they need and 2 young forwards that are cheap and have upside.

Explain why anaheim says no. Ducks need scoring and depth at forward. Trade solves that. Little is much better than Rakell right now. Connor could be a stud. Playing him with Perry and Gretz he probably scores 25 in his rookie year. Little has been a top line center for 5 years but is so underrated no one gives him credit.

Where is the value for the Jets with the Flyer trade???? I am "not" saying bad players but Jets have 5-6 yr younger facsimiles.
    27 M.Raffl - Dano, Armia
    26 B.Manninng - B.Chariot, B.Strait ( blocking a potential Morrissey call up)
    30 M.Read - (declining 30yr old energy guy) B.Lemieux, J.C Lipon to a lesser extent.
Add 2 yrs to each of the ages by the time the youth of Jets roster becomes more consistent.
Trade with Flyers gives no value for Ana Trade. This to me is the trade to focus on. Though Wpg does not have the cycle and role LW that would compliment Getzlaf, Perry
Roster moves would expose all but 1 of, Raffl, Dano, Rackell, Burmistrov, Read, Matthias.
Wpg window of opportunity to begin in 2 yrs not likely sooner, too many first yrs to develop and by then Chicago, LA , Ana, SJ, St.L all beginning to decline. Just my thoughts on why I would put more emphasis on tomorrow then today.

Winnipeg needs to start the winning now before half of their core starts regressing hard. Laine won't need to develop you add Raffl and Read to start winning now in 2 year read is replaced by a younger guy and manning is so much better than Chiarot and Strait it really isn't value commenting on. Repeat Chiarot is a borderline NHLer and both Strait and Stuart are not NHL level anymore. And the Jets will expose Enstrom by asking him to waive is NMC or trading him. Guys like read, Matthias and burmi should be exposed they are all replaceable.
Why does winnipeg love Lemioux nothing says he will be anything more than a 4th line guy 3rd at the very top of his potential.

Your selling belly buttons. No thanks, already stated the Wpg Jets have younger versions of each of these players. The younger talent who still potentially have higher ceilings need the ice time not 26, 27, 30 yr olds who have peaked and are what they are.

And by the way, Lemieux if he only makes it to 3rd 4th line would be, where you put Read. No thanks already got one.

jets have unproven players that the coach won't use. See why thorburn, halisuck and stu keep playing. Raffl is a beast and so underrated you have a clueless player evaluation.

And as for the Flyers. Trade needs are a 2LW (hopefully either of which could be filled with Konecny or Allison in the future) and a 2C (until Rubstov 2-3 yrs) so as to have Couturier as 3C with Raffl RW (Flyers need Raffl) and a 3LW as a shutdown 3rd line. Flyers needs are top6. All you addressed for the Flyers was Armia who would be a great 3LW option who maybe would make 2LW.
As for the Defense... Only time will help this mess out may have to let youth over ripen in AHL.

Boom you are right we need a 2lw badly and that's about the only place you are right.

We don't need Raffl, Laughton needs a shot at 2lw to see what we have or if he can be moved. Poetry can be the buffer for the year at 3lw.

    We MUST move Reads contract.

We MUST get a solid RHD since ALL of our prospects are LHD.

Coots had just as big an impact on the flyers as Scheifele had on the jets. He's a 2c.
