The oilers trade is fine but no way it would happen without close to the same cap going back.

For the Oilers trade you forgot to add the typical Bracco and a 3rd.

Why would other cap strapped teams take on 6.9 million for 3 years for positions they dont need?

Unless teams strike out in free agency I cant see them paying anything significant for either player. Cap space is way more important.
