Nylander has a MNC. You'd have to believe that the Wiley E's are at the top of on his no-go-to list. Besides, would the Wiley E's really give up Lawson & Valimaki for what would most likely be a single season of Nylander... plus, they gave up on Timmons last season.

Looks like Ritchie isn't even worth a 7th after all.... the Leafs can't even give him away!

According to this site & puckpedia, Muzzin has a NTC in his contract... hard to imagine he'd waive it to play for the Coyotes.
Drop the Coyote's 3rd from the deal, and the Leafs' package without Muzzin is probably close to a realistic deal for Chrychrun. Obviously, Arizona would have to take back Ritchie & another contract to make it work for the Leafs under their cap.

Right now, it looks like both Dawson Mercer & Guhle would have been better picks. Still early for the final assessment... but as Leaf fans, let's hope Dubas & his team got it right 🙁 as a Leaf fan, I'm getting tired of saying that.

If the Coyotes want Amirov in this deal, they'd have to take on Mrazek's salary too. Much prefer to include the Leafs 1st in 2022, as Amirov is presumedly closer to contributing during the Leafs' Big 4 era than an upcoming 1st. That said... Dubas gave Mrazek a MNC as part of his deal (according to this site & puck-pedia) and I'd have to believe that the Coyotes would be on Mrazek's list of no-go-to destinations.

Leafs CUP - Arizona rebuild chyckrun
If the rumours are true & the Coyotes are dealing Chrychrun, how could they turn this deal down?!?!?! Three 1st rounders for Chrychrun.... seems like a lot to me, especially since I don't believe his addition makes the Leafs the clear Cup favourite - which a three 1st rounder trade should do! If the Coyotes were willing to take on Mrazek's contract too.... maybe then Amirov & two 1st rounders... maybe!!! three 1st rounders is a lot!

Potential deal for playoff push
After his play this season, Mrazek is now a salary dump - one the Leafs need to make if they hope to resign Campbell - and will <strong><em>GIVE</em></strong> Mrazek to anyone who'll take on his salary. Going forward, the Sabres are desperately in need of a goalie with some NHL pedigree & might be tempted if the only cost is salary (they aren't attracting any free agent goalies this summer!!! same as they didn't this past summer!!!)

Every Leaf fan should love this deal!!! I can't see how the Sens agree to it. Maybe, I could see Ottawa agreeing to Mrazek, Holl+2nd for Forsberg+5th... they'd take on some salary for a late 2nd, and perhaps, get lucky with Mrazek bouncing back in the Sens net, but I'd expect Holl to look even less effective without Muzzin at his side (in fact, replace Holl with Ritchie in the deal & I can't see how Leaf management says no)

Kessel back to toronto
If Dubas agreed to this deal, he should be fired as the Leafs GM!!! Kerfoot & Engvall do nice work in their roles & the Leafs control them for another year... also they'd be easy to deal over the summer if their salaries presented a cap issue (might even get something useful or promising for the pair of them, which Kessel & Gally are not)

Nylander for Suzuki-Kotkaniemi
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kotkaniemi15</b></div><div>It’s impossible for me to deal with KK in a non-emotionally biased way, so I’m going to treat this like Suzuki+Dvorak for Nylander+Liljegren from Montréal’s POV. In that case, while the value <strong>may</strong> be there, there’s no way Montréal could do that, since it would leave them with Jake Evans as their #1C. And I’d still lean towards having Suzuki over Nylander. In the end Nylander will likely be a 70-80 point winger, while Suzuki will be a 60-70 point defensive centre, making Nick more valuable. I haven’t watched Liljegren play at all, but I can’t imagine he’s ahead of Dvorak right now.
From a Toronto POV, this makes no sense positionally as well, because it means they would have 0 real top 6 wingers and Kotkaniemi and Suzuki would be rotting on the 3rd and 4th lines. Plus they give up a badly needed cheap defense option.</div></div>
Thanks for your thoughts!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kotkaniemi15</b></div><div>Please leave.</div></div>
So, with a little hindsight - would this have been a good trade for the Habs? or was last year's playoff run worth it regardless of the fact that Kotkaniemi is now gone & Suzuki isn't as productive? I'm asking for your honest thoughts & not trying to mock the current Canadiens' season.... knowing the huge salaries S&K got this off season would give me pause, but I'm assuming that the Hurricanes would not have offered Kotkaniemi such a big contract (or any contract) if he'd been a Leaf.

What is all the fascination with Tony Stecher becoming a Leaf? he's under 6ft, less than 200lbs & his offensive numbers just aren't big enough for a D-man of his size. He's not what the Leafs need to add to their D-line... especially, with Sandin & Liljegren on the horizon. What am I missing about him?

You make a point: Years ago Larry Murphy was chased out of Toronto after being booed mercilessly by the fans... then helped the Wings win Cups. However, he'd previously been an all-star & was good enough to be on the ice when Gretzky & Lemieux teamed up to beat the Soviets - so he had the pedigree Galchenyuk doesn't.
Smacks of the Okposo, Moulson & Skinner overpays to me... smarter to spend $4 mil elsewhere! but Good luck!

Mcdavid for matthews

The amount of pick you would have to add to this trade to even it out would be crazy like Toronto's next 5-8 1st round draft picks.
McDavid >>>>>>>Matthews
Drai>>>>>>>Marner
Nurse<</div></div>
far, far more reasonable than the original post of Matthew, Marner, Reilly + 2 1st for McDavid & Klefblom.
Reilly is a near Norris calibre D-man... Nurse will never be that calibre even feeding the puck to McDavid & Draisaitl; Matthews is marginally ahead of Draisaitl at this age in their careers; obviously, McDavid is significantly more impactful than Marner, but Marner has already scored 90+ points in a season.... this is where the discussion would start.
like I said above, it wasn't that long ago that the Oilers traded Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson... because premier D-men are at a premium - Reilly is one of them.

Didn't the Oilers recently trade Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson? Reilly is a near Norris calibre D-man, who played through injuries this past season... much closer to Draisaitl for Reilly + some top up talent.
