It creates cap space necessary to pull a trade such as kerfoot to get someone like Giroux maybe who is still top 6 talent.

True enough but you still don't need to bring in just crap. There are other trades that will be way better...and enough with the high picks

After his play this season, Mrazek is now a salary dump - one the Leafs need to make if they hope to resign Campbell - and will GIVE Mrazek to anyone who'll take on his salary. Going forward, the Sabres are desperately in need of a goalie with some NHL pedigree & might be tempted if the only cost is salary (they aren't attracting any free agent goalies this summer!!! same as they didn't this past summer!!!)
