I don't like the D core, I don't see much proven DEFENSE in there, since Hanifin and Schultz have defensive gaps in their game while Valimaki will be a rookie

Im still holding out hope for the Schultz from 2 years ago and Hanifin is a defensive dman so i feel like they can benefit from playing with each other

Hanifin actually isn't the greatest defensive dman at all, don't take my word for it tho, it's Flames fans who have pointed this out to me

Hanifin is a 2 way defender (edges more towards offensive flairs than defensive) He is young but has potential. Every year in his career he has taken a step forward in his development except for last year. Last year it looked like he took a step back. Hamonic wasn’t himself last year either and it polarized Hanifin’s weaknesses. He was very much exposed as a young defender. Hanifin still has a lot of potential but this year will be a good test to see how he bounces back and if he puts the work in to try to limit some of his flaws
