Description

Just wanted to see what was possible if Tavares was never signed (not being a crazy leafs fan saying he shouldn't have been or anything.) Pietrangelo signing a 1 year deal makes sense so that he can wait for the cap to go up and sign a monster deal somewhere. Niskanen makes sense as Philly has a pretty strong defensive core, and gives Liljegren an extra year of development while Niskanen takes that spot for the year. (maybe extended if he fits in with the team well)

Why would Bozak get resigned? He priced himself out of TO before JT ever signed

If Pietrangelo signs short term, it's for a higher AAV. He can get $8.5 x 6 or 7 from a significant number of teams. A 30 year old gambling on a 1 year deal would be a pretty foolish move.

As for the roster, sure...the D looks better...but what are you going to do the first time someone has a booboo and needs a couple of games off? You only get cap relief on LTIR.

You've gotta have a 22 or 23 man roster to get through a season.

I honestly think Kadri would still not be a leaf. He was a cancer on the team by always doing the wrong thing at the wrong time.
