We want Domi to play him with Ehlers so imo this doesn't work for the Jets but what Chevy would do if this was offered to him I have no idea, gotta think he'd want some kind of guarantee on a Domi extension before parting with Ehlers for him, as a Jets fan I'd hate this trade.

Obviously an extension would be in place. I am trying to get domi to a team who needs centre depth, that’s why I chose the jets. Who have a tone of wingers and not much centre strength outside of Marc. Ehlers is the odd man out to me. Why don’t you like the trade?

Well it said nothing about an extension and if it doesn't mention it in the details or explanation then I make no assumptions.

There's a few reasons why I don't like this trade, I really think Ehlers-Domi-Laine would be a great line that could give Scheifele a push which he needs, Ehlers is my favorite Jet so I would be pissed if they trade him and I also wonder if from a value standpoint that the Jets could get a much better return for Connor then they could for Ehlers, also Ehlers and Laine are buddies and getting Laine locked down long term needs to be a priority so don't think trading his buddy is a good idea.

Sounds very reasonable. My question would be what assets to the jets have if not ehlers to acquire domi. I’d like the Habs to move domi for a winger as he isn’t a great fit now that kk,Suzuki and danault are playing well and domi likes to play centre

Roslovic, Harkins, Vesalainen would be the wingers the Jets have though Roslovic and Harkins are both centers that are primarily being used on the wing which is probably part of why the Jets are void of center depth, they draft them and then convert them to wingers which is really stupid, I doubt any of those guys move the needle much for getting Domi though.

Was looking for a current nhl player for a ‘hockey’ trade. That’s why I chose ehlers. The Habs are in a who the heck knows mode. We clearly need a change and I believe domi is the piece that leaves. And by nhl player I mean one who doesn’t need more development or time

I hear ya and I feel like the Jets are drifting into 'who the heck knows mode' as well, just think they need to make a futures trade for a 2C rather then sacrificing one of the proven young wingers they have.
