Deangelo is worth much more than a 2nd round pick. This is a terrible trade.

Please don't start a thread of DeAngelo dumps. He had a bad series and was probably still feeling the effects of his injury that we don't know the severity too. Don't even wanna acknowledge his regular season eh?

I doubt the cost of DeAngelo would just be a 2nd, but it's interesting from NSH point of view. Assuming NSH made no other trades and resigns one of Smith or Granlund, DeAngelo would have to take less than $2.5M for the cap to work. After the season he's had, that's way too low. If Turris or Bonino were traded, there would likely be enough cap space to make it work.

Its more just that 1) Rangers dont need a Power play specialist when you have fox and trouba 2) Have to choose between him and Strome to resign and the second line center is way more valuable than a guy who you need to shelter

Oh my goodness another Ryan Strome Stan. When does it end with this pathetic idea. Strome Is a third line center who is a benefactor of Artemi Panarin. This series? Panarin struggles so look who decided to as well? Oh that's correct. Ryan Strome. I want him gone.

I agree that the trade would probably cost more than just a 2nd i just was trying to figure out what teams he could work with... I also do believe Nash will get rid of one of those two that you meantioned

Strome had the highest Unblocked Shot Attempt percentage of any center on the team and was the third highest scorer. Panarin didnt put up numbers like he did this year when he had Wennberg or Dubois in Columbus as his center. Sure Panarin led that line but Strome definitely wasnt just a passenger

No he was a fan watching Panarin. Dude please stop. You could put your grandmother there and she would pot 59 points with Panarin....
