I think you're vastly overestimating the value of Murray. There is no precedent for a goalie getting that much in return unless they are an established star.

the devils trade doesnt really make sense. kuokannen looks very promising and will probably play his first nhl season next year. That also means he will be an RFA for at least one or two more contracts depending on the term of his next deal. Simon may potentially break out one or two outlier years, but is 26 years old, and doesnt appear to be much more than he is right now... which is a relatively unremarkable piece of a good roster.
