Wild aren't giving up the 1st or 9th ova pick, not even for Guentzel.

If it's Laf, we definitely keep the pick. If it's 9th, there's just as good a chance that this years pick will be just as good as, if not better than, Guentzel.

I do love him though. Great player. But the Wild are better off staying put.

I am assuming they didn’t win the lottery. If they did of course they wouldn’t even remotely consider that deal. I know they need a winger who can score so I thought that was a good destination for Jake

I didn’t go after one of their best prospects and a 4th rounder isn’t that big of a deal. Horny would be a great fit for a young team like that

4.3mil for a 33-year-old bottom-six forward, no thank you

He had 17 goals before the break. He’s fantastic on the PP and the Canucks don’t really have anyone who’s won anything on that team (forgot about Tyfoli and Pearson) He’s a great leader

That is certainly reasonable, and for the most part I agree. However, if the Wild don't get 1st ova and instead pick 9th. We need that pick in order to draft a center. Especially seeing how the Pens are likely to be keeping their 2020 1st, which is either 1st ova or 15th ova, and pushing back our acquired pick to next years 1st.

If this trade went through the Wild would have no 1st this year and you use our 9th ova with yours at either 1st or 15th...

You would have to let us keep this year's PIT pick for us to even consider it and 15 ova and Guentzel don't get you 9th ova plus Beckman.

You can have Rask, he's yours for a bag of pucks.

Pearson, Toffoli, Beagle have all won a cup. Tanev, Edler have both been to the finals. Miller and Myers have both made it to the conference finals. The Canucks PP was also 4th in the league. Like I said they aren't gonna give 4.3mil for a bottom-six forward
remowilliams liked this.

I still think Pittsburgh is overpaying.
