Why? They’d still have lots of cap space. I don’t think most people understand how flexible COL is with cap space right now. That’s going to change obviously but they are in great shape realistically until MacK extension is due.

Trading for Crosby with Kadri is only a 4M cap increase, can always trade some more of the 3-4M cap guys if more space is needed.

You would need to trade away a lot of the other guys if you plan on re-signing Landeskog, since you’re probably looking at a $9+ million raise for Makar and $1-2 million for Landeskog.
