1. D needs an overhaul. Ideally, I would like to see Lars, Nurse and Russell all gone. Jones is money, Broberg and Bouchard are questionable for next season. I'll keep Nurse, but I don't foresee him turning it around. Dude is becoming a total fraud of a top 4 defenseman.
2. 3C needs to be filled properly. No more of this bottom 6 being two 4th lines, they've gotta get this under control.
3. Haas and Nygard should play all season, but I think Benson is ready for a call-up. Also have the issue of Neal on wing as well.
4. The previous Bottom 6 play with heart and all that boomer hockey jazz, but these guys just gotta go. Jujhar, Archie, Chaisser, Sheahan, they're not worth it anymore. With that being said, Chiasson's contract is too much to move and between him and Archie on that 4th RW, I'd go with Chiasson.
5. If I ever see that senile balding maniac in net again, I'll eat a candle.

Trades:
1. Lars has some value, but with that cap hit, I don't think many teams will bite. Ottawa has space and their right side currently has Ron Hainsey and Nikita Zaitsev. Enough said. Winger depth is suspect, Abramov works.
2. Sharks depth is atrocious, Jujhar has a lot of games under his belt now and Doug Wilson is experiencing brain rot these days so I don't see an issue there.
3. I'm sure the Rags would like to stop playing Brendan Smith on their 4th line. Archie was good at times, but he was also equally bad the other times. Analyically, he was a nightmare this season. However, NY is a little strapped for cash and I think it works based on their poor depth.
____
FA:
1. AA is an RFA, simple signing. Play-in was a small sample size, but he played really well and I'd like to think he'll continue finding his game with us.
2. Ennis will hopefully come back. He's a homer and SHOULD be playing with our best players.
3(C). Little tricky with the market not being great. Gagner is an option, he's super solid but I don't know how much C he plays these days. Colin Wilson is another one that would be great, but not really sure what the deal is with his injury. Haula is another option, but he's a bit of a wild card in terms of what to expect and he will likely get overpaid. Brassard is trash. Soderberg and Granlund will be too expensive. So... Gagner it is. He's cheap, he's underrated, he loves Edmonton and he's also right handed. Something we could use on at least one C.
4. DeMelo is an analytical wet dream. Dude is GOODT at this sport. Every team should try to sign this guy.
5. Back-up Goalie is a little tricky with limited cap left. One option is to bring up Skinner, but I don't think that's a good idea yet. I would like Mikko to play 50+ games next season. He's reliable in high danger situations and this season he was 87th! percentile for GSAx/60 (Smith was 36th). Picking Ryan Miller. He played in front of the pitiful Ducks and his analytics were decent still.

A lot of this is unlikely to happen, but that's what this tool is for.
I don't see the Sens trading a good prospect and a 3rd for a guy they don't need. They aren't trying to be good next year, Zaitsev, Zub, Jaros and maybe an FA signing is all the depth they'll need on the right side. He doesn't figure into the long term plans either with JBD and Thomson on the way in the next couple years (and Zaitsev is signed forever). Maybe try to see if Winnipeg will bite?
I believe you're overvaluing Larsson and undervaluing Archibald by trading him. Larsson is worth a 3rd at most right now because of his contract and production, so it should be clear that the Sens wouldn't accept that trade irl. Also Archibald is good depth who proved himself to be flexible on both the offence and defence, so to trade him after 1 year is unjustified. Dylan Demelo is also no better than Larsson, so I think it'd be better just to trade Larsson for a pick and then use that cap to sign a UFA defenceman.

Ah fair enough. Unfortuantely, Winnipeg would be better off keeping DeMelo than taking on Larsson, so that doesn't work.

I'm good with Larsson for just the pick straight up, the cap is the biggest issue. Big time disagree with Larsson vs DeMelo, Larsson is worse for sure. Larsson's underlying numbers are all worse than DeMelo's. Archibald I can see your point with the quick sign and trade, but I don't think we should keep him. He is god awful at generating anything offensively and is serviceable in his own end. There's better options.
Not sure what looks worse to me the fact you managed to remove just about every single pk player from the top pk in the league but it’s tough to take serious if think saving one million on russell is worth not having him.
