Kapanen isn't going anywhere. He moves up into the top 6 when we move out Nylander or Marner.

I'd definitely like to see the Leafs pick up more picks than what you have here. Dubas may not be good at trades or signings but he's proven he can find talent at the draft. The Leafs should grab as many picks as possible.

I don't think Kap is a top 6 player. He has had his spots there, but he doesn't have the offensive instincts to keep up with the likes of Marner, Matthews or JT. My goal here was to fortify the right side on defense by taking away some depth up front.

Not many players can keep up with Marner, Matthews or JT. Rackell wouldn't be able to either.

I don't really see Rackell as an upgrade over Kapanen. In fact I actually like Kapanen better based on the fact he can play the PK and is an RFA.

I don't see Pietrangelo as the answer. He's very expensive and his contract won't age well. I rather sign someone like TJ Brodie who plays a similar game to Jake Muzzin.

That way we won't have to gut our offensive depth.

Why do Toronto guys keep thinking that we're interested in Johnsson, Kerfoot or Dermott? We keep insisting that we're not.

If you want to talk about Kapanen or Liljegren, give us a call.

The SoCal teams and Toronto are bad trade partners because all three need RD. But Nylander for Rakell and Steel is a fine idea.

Of course it is, because Nylander is the best player in the deal by far. If you listen to AGM, no one is interested in any Leaf player. short of fleecing the Leafs.
