With Lafreneire coming someone has to go. Kreider would be my first choice but with his NMC I don't see that happening. This opens up a spot on the wing while addressing a need at center.

Who is going to "force him down the depth chart"? Howden? Nieves? Mckegg? Henrikson?

Pavel 1 year at 3.25 or Cirelli 3 years at 4.75, I will take the center. If you make it a first and retain some maybe

If that is the case I agree with you but do you really think 3x4.75 is all he will get? I figured he would be looking for at least 6mil a year.

TB does bridge deals. Point did 3 at 6.75, Cirelli not at that level. Cost of living, no state tax, great team chemistry, and Tampa has always rewarded players after the bridge.

Its possible they bridge him. Flat cap the next 2 years plus a small increase in year 3 I am very curious to see how teams and players handle these types of situations.

NHL has done 4 OS in the last 10 years. I think there is an unwritten rule among the GMs. I like Cirelli a lot. Great defense. However he needs to improve offensively, most of his goals are dirty goals in front of the net, needs to have a better shot. Face off percentage under 50% that needs to get better. Still young so can grow but I don't think I'd do 6 at 6 yet.

RWs: kappo, kratsov. forcing buch down. the beauty of this is our 3rd line mayeventually look like this: kreider/stromer/buch or kreider chityl buch not to shbby

How do you pay everyone? 11.6 to Panarin. 7 to Kreider. At least 5M to Buch on his next contract. Not to mention the raises all the kids get. Cant keep tying money up on the wings. Need center depth to be competitive in this league.

gonna def eventually move guys (which why im killing all the eichel for lafrenier talk- just killing me - like were taking eichels 10mm over lafrenier at 900k) old rangers do it. not JD and gorto. buch will become expendable, perhaps if the RW talent develops. meanwhile there is room for him. but lots of kids - we can def afford to keep kreids and we can keep him happy with pp time- (plus myb lafrenier is 3rd line to start)-

All those reasons you just mentioned are why I see buchnevich as expendable now if the return is a center. Offensive numbers from him to Cirelli aren't very different nor are their possession statistics. Cirelli automatically holds more value as a center and his defensive game is better which is why the Rangers would need to add.

lets talk centers- im hopping ehendrix lapierre falls to us in draft- its definitely our key LT need (along with short term depth need) and LD is a lil shaky unless dandre miller makes team (still would like to sign a stay at home sandpaper LD) but we do have some guys coming up that intrigue me @C baron/khoderenko/henrikson for starts--- could baron be the 4th line C this year?

Everything im hearing about Barron is the Rangers see him on the wing. I agree they need a veteran LD to eat minutes this year and allow Miller to transition but at least they have depth on the pipeline on the left side. They have no options at center. Need to address that.
