They have Pesce and Lily coming and with Marner their offense is scary

Their offense is already scary, Lily doesnt h9ld a candle to Dougie

while dougie is good, hes had 47 games of norris caliber play, dont think he deserves the title of being "norris caliber" yet

Lily isn't going to be anywhere near as good as dougie, but with how fantastic the Canes D already is, they can weather the loss of Hamilton, especially with an offensive talent like Marner coming back. imo this trade makes both teams better, they both trade from a strength to address a weakness. another thought of mine is that the Leafs could send over Freddie in this trade in exchange for a pick, and then use the extra cap space to sign someone like Robin Lehner. That addresses the Canes goaltending, which, full respect to Mrazek and Reimer, is probably their biggest weakness. What do you think?
