Assuming Brodin is extended at a number the Rangers are comfortable with and Strome doesn't want some obscene amount of money, that could be something for Minnesota to think about depending on what the Carolina pick ends up being. I don't like it, but I don't completely hate it so it's probably in the ballpark of being fair.

Who is the Pittsburgh trade bad for? Certainly not for us, cause we’re getting two excellent defensive forwards.

Take out lemieux and rangers consider this ... both those guys are 4th liners u don’t trade that much for those guys

I’m fine with taking out Lemieux but I’d rather take out the 3rd. Pittsburgh needs net front creators, and we need defensive forwards. ZAR has the best defensive analytics of any forward in the league, he’s very effective. Blueger is also very good and can help shutdown top lines.

the penguins 4th line was phenomenal this year. Probably the best 4th line in the whole league. They aren't going to break it up and ruin that chemistry.
None of those players are worth what it would take for it to be worth while for the penguins to do that.

None of those players are worth what it would take for it to be worth while for the penguins to do that.


thats completely understandable. its just that the penguins trio of Tanev, Blueger, and Aston Reese was so good defensively and the Rangers could really use pieces like that for our pk and the 4th line.
