I'm not a fan of Lias Andersson, and many Flames fans won't be a fan of moving Hanifin. However the value here is good and I think it's something the Flames could/should consider as DeAngelo brings high end offense from the back end which is something we could certainly use as our normal offensive catalyst from the back end (Gio) is starting to show his age a little.

Deangelo has been worth more than double Hanifin over the last 2 seasons.

i dont know what all those things stand for, & im not opposed 2 the idea of getting deangelo, im just worried he'll be overpaid & isnt defensively responsible enough 2 cover when gio pinches (which he likes 2 do)

PPO = PP Offense
SHD = Short Handed D
Take = Avoiding Taking Penalties
Draw = Drawing Penalties
WAR = Wins Above Replacement
SPAR = Standings Points Above Replacement

Translating that to these 2:

Deangelo is a FAR more valuable offensive player than Hanifin, worth well more than double at Even Strength offense,. AND he's a better defender than Hanifin at evens despite playing with defensive black hole Marc Staal for the majority of the past 2 seasons.

Deangelo is also a significantly better player on the PP, worth more than double Hanifin. Hanifin's only advantage is that he takes less penalties (which for Deangelo is also due to covering Marc Staal's ass often).

The value all the way to the right is the magic number.
