Given how deep the rangers already are in young talent,

i can't see why they would want Quantity over Quality

I can't fathom a world where they trade that pick shy of something like a 1C for 1OA (which no one is going to do)

Maybe Swap Wolanin for Tierney, add JBD and remove the second and maybe take a bad contract like Smith or Staal... That would give them some depth at center (With Byfield/Stuzle) behind Zibanejad and they still have the possibility to adress a need at wing with the 5OA with Rossi/Perfetti/Holtz/Raymond and give them a solid piece at defense who is near the NHL and finnaly it gives NYR some Cap space...Personnaly I wouldn't trade the 3OA and the 5OA for the first but I understand that Ottawa might consider it.

I’d assume it would at least start with 3rd overall and not 5th. Probably have to include Norris/Brannstrom and the Isles pick. I wouldn’t trade Norris or Brannstrom, which is why I wouldn’t do this

Nope. It would have to be 3, 5 and probably another sweetener. OTT just needs to draft right and add talent as a whole.
