value is fair but i feel the leafs say no. If they trade Nylander, they would want a higher caliber defenseman

Montour is an offensive defenceman that sucks and the first is too variable to move a 37g/70 point player (what he was on pace for before the shutdown)

That pace is an outlier year for him, especially on the goals. I agree no from toronto, but nylander is very much overrated on here.

I think he was underrated last year, and is getting better recognition this year. Guy could have scored 40 if the season went on, was on pace for 37

his current total of 31 goals was already 9 higher than his previous career high

yes, until he repeats it, its an outlier year. that dramatic increase means a reversion is likely. when a player dramatically outpaces his career averages in a partial season, its is not unreasonable to suspect the unplayed games would have some reversion to the mean.
