Lias has close to zero value and is a project. Kings would accept that and Rangers would too.

Why would the Ducks trade for a cap dump defenceman who can’t even play defence, especially when there’s no asset attached? They can get a free agent for the same cost who can actually play the position.

There are plenty of guys that are as skilled or more skilled that they can get for cheaper. A 4th round pick isn't worth handcuffing yourself to get Brendan Smith.
