That would be a no from Winnipeg. You want Laine, you start with Suzuki and add or Kotkaniemi and add. Even then it's probably a no.

Jets consider that, it would be really close.

To be fair, the offer is pretty close and makes the Winnipeg jets Elite Contender. Danault is one of the best 2ways centers in the entire league and Domi brings you a lot of emotion. The jets would probably ask a better player than mete too. IMO it's not worth it for the Canadiens to make that trade.

Not really, the Jets have zero reason to trade Laine. So, moving him for a 27 year old center an RFA winger looking for a big raise a bad defenseman and a first, doesn't make the Jets better. It just moves the hole from center to wing.

You might think it's fair, but Winnipeg doesn't. Laine has more potential than all 3 Montreal players added together and did more before he was 20 than the Montreal players have in their careers.

The team trading quality for quantity always loses.

So Winnipeg has no obligation to move Laine just because you think the deal its fair. smile

Don't get me wrong, I think the trade seems fair if mtl moves mete and puts a good prospect like Caufield or Juulsen but its not worth it for either teams lol

Quantity for quality is never fair though for the team that is trading the quality. That's why Winnipeg would insist on Kotkaniemi or Suzuki to start.
