Why do Oilers fans keep trying to trade Khaira to the Penguins? That's the last thing they need.

Yeah probably fair value as far as trades go, but Pens have too many bottom 6 players as is

That is a far better offer, think the leafs add a pick or decent prospect. Would actually make more sense to give up a bit more and have Larsson retained. Even if it were through detroit or ottawa.

@ken_holland this trade is intriguing.

Leafs would have to give a bit more even for this trade.

I would certainly do kappy+ for Larsson 50% and puljujarvi.

What sort of add ons would Edmonton be interested in?

Personally, I would prefer to keep Puljujarvi. He's shown some chemistry with McDavid in the past, but was extremely underused and benched by the previous management. I think he can perform much better this time around in the AHL. Certainly not a bad deal though and I would definitely consider it.

It took Hall to acquire Larsson, and it would turn into Kapanen and a pick plus retaining on Larsson? Yikes.

I am not so sure. Pulli hasn't shown much at the NHL level, certainly way less than Kapanen has. Larsson is so overrated still despite a rather long career of mediocrity. I wouldn't accept Larsson at his full salary no matter what, he's a complete cap dump.

He is definitely overpaid, that's for sure.
However, if Puljujarvi only matches what Kap is this is a win for the Leafs. You plug Larsson in on the 3rd pair and as a PK specialist for a year like Ceci and enjoy having a younger/cheaper Puljujarvi for a while. The potential steal would be too much to pass on.
In other words, nothing ventured nothing gained
