You should just aim to be bad, look at the result of every rushed rebuild

Canes pass

Not saying this is the deal for the canes to take..
But I don’t see a lot of Canes fans accepting much of anything on here. Maybe bc everybody is actually lowballing you guys.. or maybe for other reasons, I don’t know, just pointing it out.
You guys are going to have some tough decisions to make.. and I never see any proposed solutions from your fan base. Some big decisions will wait til next offseason certainly, but somebody is going to be the odd man out it seems...

Side note: I used to publish Fleury for big Svech trades straight up, and those DID get approvals. A couple months later after the return to play and Oh how the times have changed. What a big difference a good playoffs will make for a guy

Some of the deals don’t make sense for us. Sure we’ll have to make some decisions next off-season. This season we don’t have to do much. We can stand pat and be okay. We can improve the offense if we want. IMO, the management has the opinion of they can only take one player. So, we load up with 6 top 4 defenders and we would still have 5 after the draft. Losing one would suck but it wouldn’t be the end of the world for us.

In the end we aren’t rushed or forced to take anything under value or doesn’t make sense for us.

Yea I know, you’re right, it’s the truth for sure. Certainly an enviable position to be in.
And actually now that I think about it, there was a cane fan that liked my Marc Andre Fleury scenario in a thread I made earlier.. so there’s that. You guys approve of upgrading in net.

MAF’s contract concerns me because of how voodoo goalies are. He could be a real drain on the cap if he has two really down years. The trends say he should be headed there at his age. I haven’t seen your proposals.

I have the Wings being a middle man and eating half the cap for you. The scenario is also assuming no team can fit MAF cap hit and Vegas has to pay to dump it. Which could be a big assumption, I’m not too sure. It’s maybe not and exactly perfect idea, but not bad either.

Ah i did see that. MAF at half would be preferable. Doesn’t help Vegas as much. I don’t see the benefit of the Canes adding him without a reason.

The only thing I was thinking was LV can choose
1 from Nino or Gardiner
1 from Dzingel or a current goalie roster

for MAF and Tuch.

It’s not meant to help Vegas other than getting them out of that horrendously awkward situation they’ve created for themselves. That’s how it helps them, bc I don’t see a team trying to help them resign Lehner, but I could be wrong.
