Even if the value isn't that bad, I wouldn't trade our 1st round pick this year. We could get a great winger that will be the same age than our young core, and be usefull to the team for 10-15 years, instead of maybe only 2 years of Gaudreau.

Sure, you want Price and Webby too? You overvaluing Flames fans should go look at what Kapanen was traded for and realise what a 1st round pick is worth in this year's draft. Horrible Habs trade and we are sick and tired of having gnomes for wingers.

A 1st round pick is worth supposedly Kasperi Kapanen, with Filip Hallander. Gaudreau is twice as good as Kapanen. By that logic you should have to trade us Suzuki, Romanov, Caufield and Kotkaniemi. Any why not throw in Gallagher for good measure

Just to be clear... doesn't that mean that you will lose his rights because he won't sign with you guys after the 2 years or whatever it is.
