With all your extra cap space, I think it’s safe to assume the jets would also be adding a guy like edmundson to shore up the d in this scenario

Headed for forever bubbling, I think it’s time to buy for scheifele, wheeler, Lowry, pearrault, or sell for laine, ehlers, connor, morrissey and helly. I don’t believe the current defensive prospects going to come quick enough for the buy, but that’s just an opinion

Minnesota is the only thing holding this team out of the basement in central.

Imo this is good for now. After that we can use the first to make one last center rental before whoever we draft this year is ready.

As for the defense, it’s better than most woudl think. Will be very good in their own end thanks to poolman, demelo, and Edmundson, and will have plenty of offense with morrissey, pionk, and heinola (i would put him in Sambergs spot)

Thank you for the insight, yes I maybe early on the death and demise of the jets, I would just like something done bold and off script and see if they can jumpstart the true contender status or upgrade the youthful nucleus and be ready when some of the other central teams falter again. My fandom wants a cup over anything else. Or even the belief it’s in the cards someday, not just jersey sales and full buildings.

I completely agree. I wouldn’t mind chevy doing something bold like offersheeting cirelli. But I just hope he doesn’t overpay anyone or for anyone since we don’t have a lot of prospect depth and we don’t have too much cap space for next season

Random thought of mine that’s been shot down a ton, but if you were going to send scheifele to Tb, what kind of package would it have to be, my thought was cirelli and Sergachev along with an expensive cap dump and Foote, but that got shot down pretty soundly, I also had Lowry, to fill a need and a couple warm body blue liner prospects in niku and stanley.

At one point you are saying you want to contend and then you are trading our only centre who can play in the top six and arguably our best player. Doesn’t make sense to move him

Either buy now or sell for the future, just afraid that scheifele and wheeler possibly don’t age all that well. Not sure what it would take to truly get to contender status while they are still key contributors, my biggest fear is bubble life, over and over again. Would rather take shots and bottom out when needed.

Imo wheeler has aged well and we don’t trade schiefele. He is out present and future imo especially with the contract he has rn
