I still do not see this as a playoff team and you have no cap, those are not a good combo.

Rather go a cheaper route at goalie than pay up top dollar for Talbot, who has been up and down the past few years. I like Dadonov and see him as a good fit here given his familiarity and success with Boughner in FLA and our need for RW. Think I would gamble on an Elliott or something for less money and then use that savings for another RW (like Leivo) as I don't have confidence in Blichfeld being ready for full-time NHL duty and beyond him there's nothing in the minors for that spot. Also, swap out True for Marleau at a league minimum deal like this past year. Makes the forward group deeper/better.

I'd love Marleau back, on 3rd Line w/ Jumbo & Gregor, but he would have to sign for the minimum. Also, for the 4th Line, I think DW might want to see who emerges from some of the young players like True, Gambrell & Handemark. They all have C experience, only time will tell.

Blichfeld down, any of those 5 are 4 Liners, it's who fits best. I would lock in Noesen for RW on 3rd or 4th, but after that, it's a crap shoot.

The only 2 reasons I went w/ Talbot, is he's an upgrade & can & would compete for Jones job, & 2nd, it's only a 2 year deal & he's 33 now, in 2 years, hopefully 1 of our younger Cuda will be ready. I think Elliot now, is a drop off from Talbot, whom if we can get for 2 years, would be worth it IMO.
