Cernak is the answer

Description
And the question is why do Toronto ACGM believe TB will trade Cernack?

Why trade a top four RHD that will have a reasonable contract for a disappointing prospect and a third round pick? Toronto has a better chance of winning the cup in 2020 then getting Cernack.

Yes TB is in cap hell. Four of the following will be traded: Gourde, Killorn, Palat, Johnson, Colburn, Paquette, Cirelli and Sergechev.

Well I feel better now. GO BOLTS !

If any Leafs fans are disappointed with Liljegren they need to rethink what he can be.
Solid prospect.

Well if Toronto fans stopped making stupid trades for Cernack I would not post. This is my first non serious post I've done.

I would say there's no way this could happen but then again it's the leaf, if they see a player they want they're going easily pay them 10 million or so

Going 4x time further the other direction doesn't help your cause. Makes you look like a delusional Homer who thinks all the bolts assets will get moved and somehow for decent returns. Good luck moving Gourde or Johnson or Killorn without having to send major assets. There are few teams that will be willing to take on salary in this economic climate. Your best course of action may be to sell high on the RFA's because the other option is paying 1sts for teams to take on your cap dumps.

I agree they make stupid trades with Edmonton all the time it’s rather annoying seeing how they will devalue other players and pass their own spare parts off as gold.

Just because Toronto paid a first one time to remove a salary doesn’t mean Tampa will have to. When Toronto did it they were only sending dead cap space that’s a very very very different situation. When trading players that actually will play for a team it doesn’t cost significant assets to move it just doesn’t

There is a lot of dead cap space in Tampa. Or at the least future dead cap space and with a flat cap, 30 year old secondary players making 5 million or more with term are not going to be sought after at all.

It’s a parody I just raised the stupid Cernak trades. Toronto fans have no sense of humor.

Biggest issue with Tampa is working within the clauses. That can be challenging but they are still good useful players a lot of teams would be interested in. Not going to be ideal returns but won’t have to pay to move. That’s just an overblown theory on this site that has no history to suggest being the case.

There are 5 teams with cap space and many teams that need space. Moving bad contracts will be super hard if they are overpriced

Well dumping them for picks isn’t likely because very few teams can afford but they could swap the players for less established players. Johnson for kerfoot type of deals. Not best example but point being they have options that don’t include paying significant assets. I just don’t get where that comes from teams never do that. Toronto did once but that’s a horrible reference because Carolina never received a player in return had marleau agreed to play there the cost would have been significantly less.
